Megan Alexander, Solo Euphonium
President
Megan Alexander (she/her) is an active euphonium player and music educator. She earned a Master of the Arts in Euphonium Performance with Merit from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she studied with international euphonium soloist David Childs and performed under the baton of Dr. Robert Childs; and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Montclair State University, where she studied with Jason Ham of the West Point Band and Aaron VanderWeele of the New York Staff Band. Megan has performed in ensembles throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe, can be heard on the New York Staff Band’s 2022 album At The Master’s Feet, and has held the Princeton Brass Band’s solo euphonium chair since 2022 where she is regularly featured as a soloist. She serves on the band’s board and became President in 2026. She also performs with various other groups, including Princeton Symphonic Brass and Coda Brass Quintet, and teaches privately. Outside of music, Megan enjoys playing video games, reading, sewing, yoga, and is an avid Star Wars fan. She and her partner, Sean, enjoy cooking, traveling, and taking care of their three cats, Emperor Mao, Beta, and Leif.
