Ryan Barry, Second Cornet
Ryan Barry (he/him) is a music educator in the Hillsborough Township Public School District where he serves as one of the middle school band directors, co-directing a program of over 200 students. In addition to his daily classroom responsibilities, he co-directs two middle school jazz bands, the high school brass ensemble, and serves as a visual and brass technician for the district's marching band program. Ryan graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2022 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. There he studied trumpet under Gary Fienberg, an alumni of the Princeton Brass Band. Ryan also maintains a private trumpet studio for intermediate and advanced students and is a freelance trumpeter throughout the Central New Jersey area. An active performer, he is a member of the trumpet section of the Eastern Wind Symphony and plays soprano cornet with the Lambertville Brass Band. After joining the Princeton Brass Band as a substitute player in late 2025, he became a full-time member beginning with the 2026–2027 season.
Outside of music, Ryan is an avid aviation enthusiast and holds a Private Pilot Certificate. He is also a passionate automotive enthusiast with a particular appreciation for Jaguar automobiles.
